Figured I would give a little update of each team in my power rankings right now, as lots of teams have suffered injuries or are performing better or worse than most thought in the league.

West

1. S.A. Stars- Play very well right now, especially strong in the 2h, have just been finding ways to win.

2. Phoenix Mercury- The wins are starting to add up after a slow start, but they most improve on the defensive end

3. Minnesota Lynx- Young talent has started off hot and should only continue to gel and play better as the season goes on

4. Seattle Storm- The loss of MVP Lauren Jackson has thrown a huge wrench in this teams plans to repeat. They will have to grind out games for wins, as points are at a premium now.

5 L.A Sparks- another team hampered by Injuries, just don't think they will be able to compete over the course of the season losing Candice Parker for significant time

6. Tulsa Shock- improving, but still one of the worst teams in the league. droughts on the offensive end and a weak defense is not a will combo. The return of Amber Holt in a few weeks will help.

East

1. Indiana- A veteran team that just wins The starting pg is out for the year with a torn acl, but Indiana has the best bench in the wnba.

2. NY Liberty- Off to a slughish start, new york is a veteran team and will be there at the end of the season.

3. Connecticut- Looking much improved this year, has probably the best home court advantage in the east.

4 Atlanta- Sancho Lyttle will be returning from a 6 games leave (playing for spain), the return of the 2nd leading scorer will only help atlanta play more consistently.

5. Chicago- Lives and dies by the hands of Fowles to often. If she gets in foul trouble or has an off game, Chicago just looks lost.

6. Washington- Their top 3 players are out with Injuries and are really struggling on the offensive end right now. If players can't return to form soon, its going to be a very long season.
